Anna Maria Centeno

Anna Maria Centeno, 87, of Trieste, Italy, and formerly at North Bergen, NJ, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 8:14 AM, peacefully in her slumber. She was born in Trieste on February 1, 1936, to Anthony and Lucia Bucich. Anna and family emigrated to the United States around, 1952, moved to New York, but spent a majority of her life in North Bergen, until she moved to Hillsdale eight years ago. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. With a saintlike disposition, Anna always had a way of bringing warmth and compassion to her loved ones.

She is survived by her loving sister, Ida Bachia, her beloved children, Diana, John, Lisa, Lucy, Rich, Joe, and their spouses, 15 adoring grandchildren, and 5 cherished great grandchildren. Anna dedicated all her time and love to her family and faith.

Anna's Celebration of Life will include visiting on Tuesday, January 2, from 3-7 PM at the Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union city, NJ. A funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at St. Anthony R.C.C., 615 Eight St., Union City, NJ 07087. Anna will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Rd, North Arlington, NJ.
