

.Betty Jo Lamar, age 95, went to her eternal rest on May 24, 2024. She was an only child and is predeceased in death by her parents Nettie Viola from Tennessee and of Cherokee descent and Thomas Lamar of Georgia. She is survived by her Best Friend and loyal employee Robert Quetel.
For the past 50 years she was the sole proprietor of world renowned Tickled Pink Petunia Antiques in Guttenberg, NJ. She poured herself into her work, collecting, researching and sellings quality antiques. Her customers came from all walks of life and every corner of the world. She developed a wealth of knowledge on her merchandise which started with an attraction to antiques from age 3 when she attended her first auction. Other life experiences helped develop her vast knowledge. She worked for Robert Taft during his presidential campaign and later for Henry Ford II. She once appeared on the television game show, To Tell The Truth.
She was raised as a Southern Baptist and even baptized in a lake. She was an animal lover and had many beloved pets through the years. Her easy southern charm endeared her to everyone she met. She developed many lifelong friendships from among her customers.
