Darlene touched our lives with her stories and laughter and maternal presence when we were her neighbors and adopted “sons.”  She called us “Me boys” and always dreamed of going to England.  Even though she was confined to her apartment, her world was enormous and I treasured visiting it with coffee and little spontaneous  celebrations.  Her magnet collection was a source of great joy for her as were her beloved cats.  We miss her dearly and remember her and her anecdotes always.  

We love you, Darlene.  I hope they have scratch-offs in Heaven and that you win big on your “ticky -tickies.”
