Eleanor Conroy

She was born in Jersey City on July 29, 1939, to the late Nora Chumley (nee Moody) and John Chumley. When they passed away, she was raised from childhood by her aunt and uncle, the late Margaret and Anthony Conlon, of Guttenberg, NJ.

She married her beloved husband, the late Vincent Conroy, on June 25, 1966. Together, they raised 4 children: Julianne Anderson, Vincent Conroy, Colleen Conroy, and John Conroy. They also had 4 grandchildren: Brianna, Alexis, Grace, and Lora. She is survived by her children, her sister, her niece, and nephews.

Eleanor lived in North Bergen for the duration of her marriage, as a homemaker and stay-at-home mother. She was active in her local church, and enjoyed spending time with her friends.

Viewing services will be held at Leber Funeral Home in Union city on Monday, April 24, from 4-7 pm. The funeral mass will take place at Our Lady of Fatima Church in North Bergen on Tuesday, April 25, at 10:15 am. She will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ.
