Elizabeth O'Donnell

Elizabeth (Betty) O’Donnell (nee Bartley), 63, of Union City passed away on Sunday 3/7/10 at St. Michael Medical Center in Newark. She was born in Jersey City and lived most of her life in Union City where she was a clerical worker for the Passionist Missions for over 35 years before retiring. Betty was also a member of the Sts. Joseph and Michael Sports Association.

She was the beloved wife of John O’Donnell and the cherished daughter of Florence Bartley. She was the devoted mother of; John O’Donnell and Denise Bowen and dear mother in law of; Lisa O’Donnell and Michael Bowen. The dear sister of; Margaret Lazar and the late Robert and Thomas Bartley as well as the loving grandmother of; Brittany Bowen, Brittany O’Donnell and Jacqueline Bowen.

The funeral will be on Wednesday 3/10/10 at 10am at the Leber Funeral Home then to Sts. Joseph and Michael Church where at 11am a funeral mass will be offered. The interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Tuesday 3/9/10 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Donations in Betty’s name may be made to the charity of your choice.
