Thinking of you on this sad day.  I have wonderful memories of Uncle Jerry and his bond with my dad and mom.  Humble and sweet, he lived a most incredible life.  I especially loved the stories my dad told me about his brother's amazing journey while in the service.  My dad was so proud of his big brother--a true survivor!  He was one in a million and will be missed by all those who loved him so much.  May they be recounting their war stories with each other, their sisters and of course, Aunt Lena in a paradise that offers them the beauty and peace that they all so richly deserve.  RIP Uncle Jerry!  Sending love to you all.

I’m a DIY hack compared to my father-in-law, but I fondly remember all the home improvement jobs that he did in Cape May and Union City, and those that fell to me after he couldn’t (shouldn’t!) have done them anymore.  He truly pushed himself beyond the max, and was always puttering around when in fairness he should have been retired and relaxing.  God bless him.  I was always amazed by his casual tenacity and will to soldier on.  Speaks volumes to his longevity.  That said…  Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad.  I’ve been blessed with two dads in my life:  my grandfather (my mom’s dad); and my father-in-law Jerry.  My youngest (Matt) used to call my father-in-law “Peepah” (his interpretation of “Grandpa”) when he was little.  My wife JoEllen and I relished this moniker and used it regularly when referring to Jerry amongst ourselves.  Godspeed, Peepah!  Gonna miss my “putter buddy” sorely.  Love you, dad.

I have fond memories of my uncle Gerry who was also my godfather. He was a good man and I enjoyed listening to his stories of his days in the service. RIP
