John P. Sneyers

SNEYERS, John P. “Jack” of Weehawken on Wednesday, November 10, 2010. Beloved husband of Helen (Nee: O’Donnell). Devoted father of 12 children, Kathleen Restaino, Barbara Morris, Sharon Bassing, Ellen Ricciardi, Maureen Sogluizzo, Theresa Shahbazian, Bernadette Cassel, Jacqueline Sneyers John Sneyers, Susan Parks, Karen Sawyer and the late Grace Floriani. Cherished grandfather of seventeen grand and six great grandchildren. Born in Hoboken, John was a lifelong resident of Hudson County. A US Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of VFW, Post 1923, Weehawken, American Legion, Post 37, North Arlington, VFW Post 4697, North Arlington, the 3RD Infantry Association and a member of the St. Michael’s High School class of 1944 Club and the St. Lawrence Seniors. A sheet metal worker, John worked as a member of Local 25 and for Conrail for 40 years, retiring in 1988. Funeral on Saturday, 10 AM from Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City; then to St. Lawrence Church for the Funeral Mass at 11 AM. Private Cremation will follow.
