One year ago we lost Jeff. but our loss is heaven's gain. But the memories of his love, his laughter, his sincerity and his friendship will live on in our hearts. He is dearly missed.
Sid Ditz

My dad.... he was more than just my father..... he was my hero, my friend, my shoulder to lean on. He gave so much of himself. He was always there. If I needed him, he would always drop everything and come to my rescue. I couldn't ask for a better father. I thank the Lord for giving me such a wonderful dad. He was the light of my life.

I'll remember the smile I put on his face when I went to the church events. He was always so happy I was there. He would always put his arms around me and give me a kiss. He would look at me and I could feel the sense of pride bringing me into this world.

The day of my wedding, the look in his eyes expressed such joy. His unconditional love, support and being a proud father I could feel surround me that day.

I’ll miss his calls and texts checking up on me to see how I was doing. I’m all grown up now, but I know that I was always his little girl. I will treasure all his stories that he shared with me and the sage advice that he gave me. I will carry them with me the rest of my life.

The love he showed me, I wish everyone would be so lucky to experience from a father. Take nothing for granted. Always tell your family and friends that you love them. You can never know what the next day will bring. You always think that there will be more time.

I know that you are reunited with Mamang, Papa, Ninong Sonny, Tito Ping, Trixie and BonBon. Dad, give them a big ole kiss from me.

I LOVE YOU DAD SO MUCH. I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU. I MISS YOU NOW AND ALWAYS.

Love always, your daughter Tina.

Ate, Tina & John, Cay & Chris, Our sincere condolence to all. Though we are miles apart, we feel your sorrows and wish we were there to comfort you. We were blest to see him in Tina's wedding. God has His ways to enable us to say goodbye to our love ones before they go. May Jeff rest in peace and soon be reunited with his Maker. Our love and prayers. Opened my mailbox just now. This is really sad. Jeff wrote me a message on Facebook just last Tuesday, January 23, 9:53 a.m. I read it just now. Like most of us, I warmed up to Brod Jeff as easily here in the cyberworld as I did 43 yrs ago in Silliman. He just made me feel he truly liked me.

Thanks Brod Jeff, for enriching our lives. Vaya con Dios, we shall meet again.

I can still remember the good times Jeff had with his PanHellenic Family (Gammans) in 2009-when they had a reunion in Dumaguete.

Although distance and time took us in different directions through life, Jeff was always close to me.

In 2009- our bonds were reinforced by his big tight hug, his “signature laughter and Ilongo accent.

We kept in touch very regularly.

Let us hang on to the great memories we have of Jeff, they are among his great legacies.

Let us rejoice that Jeff is now safely “HOME.”

 TO THE FERNANDEZ FAMILY, OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY.

To the PANHELLENIC SOCIETY, we share your loss, and sadness at this time.

Jeff is conveying to us......
Safely Home
Poet: Unknown

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.

All the pain and suffering is over
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.

Did you wonder I so calmly
Trod the valley of the shade?
Oh! but Jesus' love illumined
Every dark and fearful glade.

And he came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread
And with Jesus' arm to lean on
Could I have one doubt or dread?

Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still:
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's will.

There is still work waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth-
You shall rest in Jesus' land.

When that work is completed,
He will gently call you home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!

Let us celebrate JOSEPH FERNANDEZ' life!
