Joseph Anthony Mastrofilippo

Joseph A. Mastrofilippo, 79, of Forked River, NJ, and formally of Weehawken, NJ, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Hackensack Meridian Health Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, NJ surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Hoboken, NJ on September 20, 1943, to the late Corrado and Angelina Mastrofilippo, Joe grew up in Hoboken, NJ until moving to Weehawken, NJ for most of his life until he retired as a Lieutenant for the Weehawken Police Department. Upon retiring he moved to Forked River, NJ to enjoy his retirement with his late wife Sandy Mastrofilippo who passed away 6 1/2 years ago.

Survivors include his loving daughter, Angela and her spouse, Amalio Santoro and his son Joseph Mastrofilippo and his wife Melba, and four adoring grandchildren, Antonia, Dominic, Joseph, and Giselle. He's also survived by his faithful dog Coco. They will all miss him dearly.

Joe's Life Celebration will include visiting on Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ. A funeral mass will be offered on Monday, December 12, 2022 at St. Lawrence Church, 22 Hackensack Ave, Weehawken, NJ at 10:30 AM. Friends and family may begin gathering at 9:30 AM before services at Leber Funeral Home. Joe will be laid to rest at Fairview Mausoleum, 501 Bergenwood Rd, Fairview, NJ.
