Joseph Sieber

Joseph Patrick Sieber, 83, of Weehawken, New Jersey passed on Saturday, August 15, 2020. Joe was the son of late Joseph Patrick Sieber Sr. and the late Loretta Simonson. He was raised in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He graduated from Rutgers University. Joe worked for the New Jersey Department of Labor for 58 years, and was currently the Chairman of the Board of Review in Trenton, New Jersey. Joe was a pillar of the Board of Review, respected and loved by his co-workers. He will be sorely missed.

Joe met the love of his life, Mary Fleckenstein, at work and they were married in 1978. A most devoted husband, Joe became involved in Mary’s love of soap operas and they travelled almost every year to the Daytime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. Joe loved the theater and educational lectures, both in New York and London. He loved classical music and was an avid reader. Joe loved to talk politics and history.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; his brother Gerry Sieber, and several nieces and one nephew. Due to Covid, a private memorial service will be held, although a Celebration of his Life will be held when conditions permit.
