Louis J. Amato, 90 of North Bergen passed away on Saturday 8/7/10. He was born in Union City and grew up there before moving to North Bergen 68 years ago. He was a truck driver for Keebler Food Co. for 15 years and Teamster member of Local 560 in Union City for many years before retiring.
Louis was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth Amato (nee. Tomovich) and the cherished son of the late Jennie Amato (nee. Macho) and Ralphael Amato. He was the devoted father of; Jeanne Collins, Gail Nolino and Betty Lou Rac as well as the dear mother in law of Thomas Nolino and Karen Amato. He was the dear sister of Mollie Kinney and the late Sergio Amato as well as the loving grandfather of; Lisa McGilligan and husband Jim, Jennifer Hodgins and husband TJ, Tomi Anne Nolino, Amber Rac, Erik Rac, Alysha Simpkins, Alexandria Simpkins and Danette Amato as well as 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
