Margaret Hancox

Margaret was born on April 16th, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ; the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Smeryczasky Madden. After spending most of her life in the Hudson County area, she spent the last 28 years in Myrtle Beach following her retirement.

She is survived by her son Glenn, daughter-in-law Ana, grandchildren Christina and Lauren, sister Theresa and brother Thomas along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was predeceased by her husband William, sisters Rosemary, Gladys, and Patricia.

Margaret enjoyed giving back to the community and was very active volunteering at several local hospitals, a food bank, and at the Myrtle Beach airport.

Services will take place at Leber in Union City on Saturday, July 24th from 11:00am - 1:00pm followed by cremation service for immediate family.

Memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or to the Wounded Warrior Project in lieu of flowers.
