Mrs. Marie Ribar died on February 25, 2008. Born in Sandusky, Ohio, she lived in Weehawken for many years. Mrs. Ribar was a bookkeeper for the New Jersy State Unemployment office in Union City for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Weehawken Seniors Club as well as the Weehawken Needle and Craft Club and was an active member of St Lawrence Church.
Marie was the devoted wife of the late Emil J. Ribar and the beloved mother of Dr. John Ribar and the late Robert Ribar. The dear mother in law of Barbara Ribar and the cherished grandmother of Robert Ribar. She was also a dear friend to many at the Weehawken Senior Residence.
The funeral will be on Thursday 2/28/08 at 9:30am at St. Lawrence Church in Weehawken with the interment to follow at the New Jersey Vetrens Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Leber Funeral Home in Union City, NJ.
