Mario MUGHETTO, age 88, of Weehawken, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday February 5, 2019. Mario was born September 20, 1930 in Naples, Italy and served in the Italian Merchant marine and Navy in Rome. He immigrated to the United States in 1955 and became a US citizen in 1963. He settled in Weehawken and married his beloved wife, of 63 years, Frances (nee. Baldassare) Mughetto. He worked as a machine operator for Maxwell House Coffee in Hoboken for 25 years before retiring. Mario loved vacationing in Florida, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and telling his life story of immigrating to the United States.

He was the beloved husband of Frances Mughetto and the devoted father of Michael and wife Rita Mughetto, Vincent and wife Michelle Mughetto and Roseanne Mughetto. He was the loving grandfather of MJ and Michael Mughetto as well as the dear brother of Francesca Tortora, Enzina Panariello and Anna Severi.

A visitation for Mario will be held Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union City, NJ 07087. A funeral mass will occur Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Lawrence Church, 22 Hackensack plank Rd, Weehawken, NJ 07086. A committal service will occur Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Flower Hill Mausoleum, 5501 Kennedy Blvd, North Bergen, NJ 07047.

Heaven has a New Angel.
His pain is gone & his memory will last forever
We are so glad to have met him & treasure so many beautiful memories we had together. He was an awesome person and soul who always welcome Paolita & I to his family and made us feel like we had a family when we had no one in New Jersey. We’ll always remember the stories he told us over and over again about his brave life It was a great honor to have met him.
