Michael J. Ricciardi Sr., 52 of Lodi passed away on Sunday 3/21/10. Michael was born in Jersey City and lived most of his life in Weehawken before moving to Lodi in 1983. He graduated from Ramapo College in Mahwah where he founded the Sports Intramural program. He remained at Ramapo and became the Athletic Director, a post he has held until this day.
Michael was a former Boy Scout leader, AAU Girl’s Basketball Coach, a member of the Sts. Joseph and Michael Sports Program, former Ramapo College Girl’s Basketball coach and for 20 years a certified High School and College Referee. He is also the current commissioner of the Northeast chapter of the Collegiate Volleyball Association.
Michael was the beloved husband of Anna Ricciardi (nee.Votto) and the devoted father of; Michael Ricciardi Jr. and Christina Ricciardi. He was the dear brother of; Steven Ricciardi, Adrianne Di Iorio, Augie and Theresa Riccairdi and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
