Mrs. Ruth Peterson

Mrs. Ruth "Mother" Peterson died on March 4, 2006. Born in Jersey City on Febuary 25, 1924 She lived most of her life in Union City. Mrs. Peterson was a nurses assistant at both North Hudson Hospital and Palisades Medical Center for many years.

Mrs. Peterson was predeceased by her husband Charles and is survived by her three children; Patricia-Ann, Charles and Michael Peterson. She is the loving grand mother of four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Ruth was ,in 1982, the proud recipient of the Humanitarian Award at Palisades Medical Center and was very involved in the Girl Scouts, Hudson County Chapter. An extremely proud moment happened for Ruth when most of the Hospital staff watched as she renewed her wedding vows with her husband Charles on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary at St. Joseph of the Palisades Church. She was a beloved member of the Hospital community.

A funeral mass will be held for Mrs. Peterson on Wednesday 3/8/06 at Sts. Joseph and Michael Church with the interment to follow at George Washington Memoral Park.
