Samuel Cicchine

Samuel V.Cicchine, 80, lifelong resident of Jersey City, NJ, passed away on Monday May 15,2023, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Jersey City on October 1, 1942, to the late Frank & Anna Cicchine. Sam was a Vietnam Veteran of the US Army. He was known for his comedic ways; Sam never missed an opportunity to make someone laugh. He was an avid fisherman who could tell “fisherman stories” with the best of them. He was a doting grandfather who spent many days/nights at the ballfield and dance recitals. Sam worked for 35 years at UPS where he made many lifelong friendships, going to breakfast with his friends was one of his favorite past times.

Survivors include his loving children, David & his spouse Patricia Cicchine, Darin Cicchine, Danielle & her spouse Jason Murray. Cherished grandfather of Samantha, Dina & Nicholas Cicchine, Ana, James & Ryan Murray, great grandfather of Sophia & Bentley Murray. Adored godfather of Michael Cicchine. Sam is predeceased by his wife, Jo Ann Cicchine, his brother Cono Cicchine.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Diane Cicchine, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Sam’s Life Celebration will include visiting on Friday, May 19, from 4 ~ 8 PM at the Leber Funeral Home, 2000 Kennedy Blvd, Union city, NJ, A funeral Mass will be offered on Saturday May 20, beginning at 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary church 344 6th Street Jersey City, NJ 07302. Friends and family may begin gathering at 9:00 Saturday morning before services at the Funeral Home. Sam will be laid to rest at George Washington Memorial Park 234 Paramus Rd. Paramus N.J. 07652.
