Cody was born with spastic quad cerebral palsy and was confined to a wheelchair. Although overcoming many medical obstacles starting from birth, weighing in at 3 pounds 4 ounces, he has always been a fighter and he was still fighting until his body said "no more".
Cody was non-verbal, but he managed to communicate with whomever he met. He loved being the center of attention and he loved to make people yawn.
Cody was blessed with a contagious smile and he brightened the spirits of all who were fortunate enough to cross his path. Cody filled our lives with lots of love, humor, patience and courage.
Cody was always up for an adventure or new experience with his parents. He loved going to the beach, motorcycles, socializing, going to summer camp, and watching football with his dad. He also loved watching The Price is Right and the News, except when politicians were speaking.
Cody is survived by his parents, Lee and Linda Joplin; several aunts and uncles, Ron and Edie Hunter of Abilene, TX, Jay and Pam Joplin of Deerfield, NH, and Sam and Debbie Navarro of San Antonio, TX; numerous cousins; and his dog Otis.
