

Albert Guillen Torrez, 62, died Tuesday, February 24, 2015, in his hometown of San Antonio, Texas, and recently resided in Converse. He leaves his wife of 37 years, Camille (Lennon) Torrez; his daughter, Jarah Torrez-Williams and husband, Marcus Williams and two sons, Jordan and Lorenzo; his daughter, Jordana Torrez; and granddaughters: Julia Grove and husband Daniel Grove and two daughters, Hadasah and Zipporah; Shayla and Raina Culwell; his brother Leo Torrez and wife Diana; his brother Ernest Torrez and wife Bea; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his son, Cannian Culwell. Al graduated from Edison High School in 1970, where he was editor of the newspaper. He studied Respiratory Therapy at St. Phillip's College and practiced for 18 years. Al worked in many ministries, including: healing, prayer, married, and men's ministry. He had a heart for hospice, volunteering his time with patients and in bereavement care.
