Alyeen Doweene Dillingham was born at home in Waco, TX. She is predeceased by her sons William Defoe McLaren and Larry Dean Dillingham Jr. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Round. Growing up she was a majorette. After high school graduation she went to business school and worked as a secretary. She subsequently married an Air Force pilot and had two children. Her first husband was killed in an aircraft accident. She later remarried an Air Force pilot and had another child. That marriage lasted 41 years. During the marriage she moved and traveled frequently. Some of the places she lived included Tripoli, Libya, Wichita Falls, TX, Los Angeles, CA, Victorville, CA, Izmir, Turkey, Phoenix, AZ, Enid, OK , Del Rio, TX and the Pentagon. As the wife of a Major General she fulfilled many social roles and duties. During her final years she lived at The Landing at Stone Oak where she received excellent care. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home with the Funeral service to be held at 2:00 p.m. Graveside services and interment will be Friday, March 13, 2020 at 11:00 at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco, Texas.
