

Born on April 24, 1958, in Enid, Oklahoma, Audrey lived a life defined by love, dedication, compassion, and selfless service. She devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, proudly served her country in the United States Air Force, and consistently sought opportunities to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Audrey's warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Audrey took immense pride in her military service, which included deployments around the world. Among her proudest professional accomplishments was serving on the joint military planning team responsible for coordinating an airshow featuring the United States Air Force Thunderbirds—an experience she treasured throughout her life. Beyond her military career, Audrey found joy in the simple pleasures of life.
She loved spending time outdoors, watching the aircraft arriving and departing from Randolph Air Force Base, and fulfilled a lifelong dream by publishing a cookbook for military families. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, creating memories that will be treasured forever.
Audrey is lovingly remembered by her mother, Mary Burks (Charles); her siblings, Cathy Calhoun, Debra Whitfield, Eric Whitfield, Nathan Whitfield III (Trudy), and Allen Whitfield; and her many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Whitfield Jr.; her brother, Beryl Whitfield; and her nephew, Rahaman Jade "RJ" Calhoun.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Audrey's life at a memorial service on July 7, 2026, at 12:00 p.m., at Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City, Texas. Military honors and interment will follow at 2:15 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fisher House Foundation in Audrey's memory.
Audrey's legacy of service, kindness, strength, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever be a source of comfort, inspiration, and pride to her family and friends.
