Grandma how I miss you! I miss the smell of your perfume. Your pink hairbrushes, pink blankets and lip stick! I miss it all. You instilled in me a love for the water.  I'am overcome with memories anytime I'am at a beach. I miss talking to you grandma. I miss the feel of your hands. I miss your voice over the phone. I fondly remember my summers with you and I am so grateful for those memories.  I would give anything to hug you again. 
Daddy passed away 11 days after you. The grief has been unbearable. I cry out for you both. I've found myself asking aloud if you and dad are with me.  Dad suffered a long time. I miss him. But I have peace knowing he is with you, grandpa and Bobby again. Dad grieved deeply for grandpa and Bobby. Now you are all together again. But I'am selfish. I want you all here with us. I miss you. I miss daddy. I am trying to be strong grandma because that is what you would tell me to do. 
Thank you grandma for loving me. I'm forever sorry I was difficult.
I miss you so much grandma. Please watch over us. I love you so much.  

Mom... where do I start?  How do you thank someone for the sacrifices they made for you?  For always being your "go to" person when things in your life weren't going well. For loving you unconditionally no matter what, simply because you were her child. For being our rock after dad suddenly passed away. I can't possibly thank you, I can only honor you mother and the memories I have. Everytime I hear the song "Sonny", I will remember you. Everytime I see a bougainvillea flower, I will remember you. Everytime I feel like having a steak for dinner, I will especially remember you (because it was your favorite). You made me cry when I lost you, but you always made me laugh, and those times were priceless. I will cherish you and your memory for as long as I live. My heart is broken here without you, but at the same time full of joy knowing you are with dad again. Good-bye my lovely mother... but only until I see you again.

I always called you "Mrs. Jones" since meeting you 45 years ago when I became best friends with your daughter Patty.  I was taught to address adults with respect and had so much of that for you.  You always made me feel welcome and you always made me laugh.  As the years went by, your family became an extension of my own and I will miss you very much.  I am so thankful you are now at peace and in the arms of your loved ones who have waited so many years to see you again.  We have another Angel watching over us now.  

Grandma, I miss you more than I could possibly describe. You weren't just my grandmother. You were my friend, my protector, my teacher, my cheerleader and now, you're my angel. I hope I can embody some of your fearlessness and fight for life. I know I've inherited your love of animals and nature.  I'm comforted to know that you are no longer suffering and that you are reunited with Bobby and Grandpa. You may be gone from this earth but you'll never be gone from my heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel Arthur D. Jones; son, Robert M. Jones; and sister, Dolores Snyder. 

She will forever be held in the hearts of her surviving family – children, David (Kris) Jones of Mountain Home, AR, Barbara Jones of Ocala, FL and Patricia (Randy) Tschacher of Abilene, TX; sister, Iris Kermes of Califon, NJ; grandchildren, Dawn McDaniel, Corporal Matthew Jones, Amanda (Bill) Quinton, Brandon (Samantha) Tschacher and Megan Jones; great-grandchildren, Yesenia Jones, Tate and Kase Quinton, and Braven and Grayson Ybarra.
