Brian Lee Price, a loving and caring husband, father, son and friend went to be with his Lord and Savior on May 21, 2016. Brian was born on July 23, 1948 in Arlington, Virginia. He was born to Brigadier General Oran and Thora Price. He grew up in the Air Force, living in several places all around the world. After high school, he volunteered for the draft and spent most of his Army service life in Vietnam. He was in the 101st Airborne Division and was Platoon Leader of B Troop 2nd 17th Calvary Regiment known as the Screaming Banshees. He was a Ranger and received his Parachute Badge, Vietnam service medal with 4 bronze service stars, Republic of Vietnam Company’s Medal, Combat Infantrymen Badge, Bronze star medal with Oak Leaf Cluster, Air medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm. Brian spent the rest of his career in Law Enforcement, serving as policemen in Killeen, Texas. He also worked for the San Antonio District attorney’s office during two different terms as a chief investigator of special crimes. He was a private investigator and ended his career as a San Antonio Probation Officer.
Brian’s favorite hobbies were flying planes, sailing and, in later years, shuffleboard, and spending time with his best friends at The Hanging Tree. He also was involved in many benefit cook-offs at The Hanging Tree, usually to assist cancer patients. His ribs were the best and he won five 1st places for them.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Larry Price and his sister Judy. He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Price; son, Brian Price Jr.; his stepson, Brad Brimhall; grandchildren Cora Price, Samuel Price, Cricket Brimhall, and many nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service at Universal City First Baptist Church at 1401 Pat Booker Road in Universal City, Texas. He will be interred at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and his four puppy dogs who all loved him very much.
