Carmen Rosas

Carmen H. Rosas passed away on January 21, 2018 at the age of 68. She was the wife of Jose Ruben Rosas married together for 45 years. She was born in Tampico, MX. and was the daughter of the late Joaquin and Soledad Hernandez. She was a school teacher for 30 years in Weslaco, Harlingen, Brownsville, and North Side San Antonio Independent School District.

She was a member of Saint Monica Catholic Church in Converse, TX., member of Catholic Daughters, member of the Guadalupanos, Cursillista Movement, member of Master Gardeners, and volunteered at Saint Vincent De Paul Society. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and going to the Spurs Games. She will be remembered for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and having a wonderful personality. She was very devoted to the Lord, family, and her church.

She is survived by her husband Jose Ruben Rosas, sons Ruben Jr. and Rene, daughters-in law, Patty and Denise, and four grandchildren, Joaquin, Diego, Renner, and Rebeca. Also surviving are three sisters, Nora Estrada, Maria Elena Hernandez, Margarita Rodriguez and two brothers, Ignacio and Jorge Hernandez.

Converse, Texas - Viewing will be held on Wednesday 24th at 5:00pm followed by a Rosary at 7:00pm. Location: St. Monica Catholic Church 501 North St. Converse, TX. 78109. A mass will be held on Thursday 25th at 11:00am the same location followed by a reception.

Brownsville, Texas - Viewing will be held on Friday 26th at 4:00pm followed by a Rosary at 7pm Location: Funeraria Angel Buena Vista 125 McDavitt Blvd. Brownsville, TX. 78521. On Saturday 27th at 10:00am will be a short viewing at the chapel followed by graveside services at Buena Vista Burial Park at the same location.
