
Caroline Voges Weichold, age 88 passed away June 17, 2012 in Austin, Texas. She was born November 10, 1923 in Three Rivers, Texas to Oscar and Ida (Monken) Voges. Her greatest passions in life were flowers and music. She enjoyed teaching music and giving flowers to everyone. Once retired she became very active with art including fabric art with crochet and knitting. She used her talents to give to others, crocheting hats for infants, giving away flowers, helping in church and volunteering with many charitable groups. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence Weichold; brothers, Harvey and Charles Friedrich Voges. Survivors include her son, Mark Weichold and wife Judy; daughter, Marsha Weichold Karrass and husband Frank; grandchildren, Karl Weichold and fiancée Emily, Kurt Weichold and wife Michelle; Denise Kovar and husband Gary; Jan Karrass, Frank Karrass and wife Sharon; several great and great great grandchildren. A special appreciation is given to Monte Siesta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center as they made Caroline part of the Monte Family and provided care for her for many years. Visitation will be Friday, June 22, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 5955 F.M. 78, San Antonio, TX 78244. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
