

A loving wife, mother, Gramma, Great Gramma, sister and friend to all she met, Clara “Jane” loved Jesus and her church family at Pilgrim Presbyterian Church on Basse Road, where she was a lifelong member. Jane was born as the youngest of identical twins. She traveled the world with her Air Force husband and family including Crete, Greece and Fuchu AB in the outskirts of Tokyo, Japan. She was a seamstress, crochet extraordinaire, master of Folk Art painting, jewelry maker, glamper and an avid collector of collections.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 57 years, Bruce Ithamer Dye of La Cygne, Kansas;
beloved son, David Bruce Dye of Converse, Texas and cherished twin sister, Betty Jean (Collins) Chenoweth.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Barbara Jean (Dye) and William “Brian” Scherff of San Antonio, Texas; daughter, Margaret Anne (Pegi) Dye of Richmond, Texas; daughter in law, Patricia Roberts of Converse, Texas; grandchildren, Beverly Jane (Scherff) Poulter and husband Randy of Rosharon, Texas, Cari Anne (Crain) Johnson and husband Shad of Houston, Texas, William “Brian” Scherff, Jr and wife Katharine of Lubbock, Texas; great grandchildren, Aaron Ithamer Crain, Riley Marie Francis Johnson, Sydney Paige Poulter, Hannah Victoria Rease Johnson, Zoë Jane Scherff, William Bruce Scherff; three nieces and two nephews. She also left behind a very special friend Beryl Adams. All that knew and loved her will miss Jane.

To honor Clara's wishes, there will not be a memorial service. She was such a private person and most of her friends and family are celebrating with her in heaven. Please privately celebrate her memory in your own ways.
