Consuelo P. Tijerina passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010. She was born in Laredo, Texas, and was the past President and Chaplain for the American Legion Post 667 and a member of the VFW Post 4676 in Universal City, Texas. Survived by her; son, Jose F. Tijerina; daughters, Maria Thornton and Linda Moon; grandchildren, Jose Villarreal Jr., Juan Villarreal, Christina Moon, Jessica Moon, Lisa Moon and Elizabeth Moon; great-grandchildren, Alexis Villarreal, Aden Villarreal, Madison Villarreal, Ashton Montfort, Michael Moon, Hunter Wakefield, Nathan Knorpp, Dawson Knorpp, Hayden Tolivar, Andrew Constantine and Peyton Moon; sister, Rosa Puente; brothers, Ernesto Puente and Anselmo Puente. Graveside Services and Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Monday, December 27, 2010 at 8:45 A.M.
