February 2, 1974 – July 16, 2021
On Friday, the 16th of July, 2021 God called home Danny G. Ward at the age of 47. Danny was a man that loved his life, worked hard every day and lived his life to the very fullest. He grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and later moved to Universal City TX, where he graduated from Samuel Clemens high school in 1993.
Danny enjoyed his career working in commercial construction/panting and owning a local business. Aside from working and spending time with his family, Danny loved to fish. Right here in the heart of Texas. Port Aransas was his all time favorite fishing spot. If he wasn’t working, spending time with family, or traveling the world, we knew where to find him. On the pier fishing. Danny was always the life of every party, he could light up a room no matter who was there. Never a dull moment. He loved making people laugh and always turned something bad into something good. Danny loved everyone around him more than he could’ve ever tried to explain. He was a good hearted, simple man. Towards the end of his life he reassured all of his loved ones that he was ready to “see what’s next” he looked forward to the afterlife and we know in our hearts that he’s smiling down on all of us. Until we meet again.
Danny is survived by his Mother, Cathy Trezza; Biological father, Dan Ward; Wife, Linda O’Connor; Sister, Nicole Ward; Children, Justice Ward (Son) , Hunter Ward’DiCarlo (Daughter), Leiana McCumbers (daughter in-law), Dillon DiCarlo (Son in-law), Chase O’Connor (Step Son); Niece, Kelsey Ward; Nephew, Korbin Cox; and two beautiful Grandchildren, Jaesen Ward (grandson) and Jonnas Ward (grandson)
Danny is preceded in death by his Father, Danny Sparks; and grandparents, Denver and Marilyn Cornish.
Although Danny was called home what feels like way too soon he’s in the arms of God and for that we are so very thankful.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Danny Friday, August 13, 2021 at Colonial Funeral Home, Universal City. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 PM with a memorial service at 7:00 PM.
Danny’s wish was for all donations in lieu of flowers to go to Glioblastoma (GBM) research.

I knew Danny well as a boy. Denver would bring him when he came to visit my house in Eureka, Missouri. Danny could catch a blue skink in a blink of an eye. He would stay outside most of the time catching skinks. I lost track of Danny for many years. We reconnected several years ago. Danny would text and call just to say hi and catch up on the latest. I am so thankful that I was able to reconnect and be part of his circle. There is an empty space here on earth that cannot be filled. We love you.

Danny, our families go way way back and I have so many good memories of you and your sis as we were growing up! You definitely lit up the room with your smile and your love for just living life! We only saw eachother in passing at HEB in later years, but there was always big hugs and time taken to catch up. You will forever be remembered and truly missed by all that knew you! Much love Danny! Rest in Peace!

When I was a child Danny and I were pretty close. Not for a long while but long enough that we had some sleepovers as children. Matter of fact I believe and I may be wrong but I was one of Danny’s first friends when he moved to UC. What I remember most was Danny’s laugh was infectious and loud and his energy was unmatched. We lost touch as friends often do but Danny always stayed true and he didn’t compromise. I ran into him a few times as an adult. Wished it were more but Danny was Danny as he got older and never changed. Same energy same laugh. We lost a good one way to soon. Love you old friend. Stay true! God bless. -Randy

Danny… I don’t even have the words dude. Always laughing and joking and stirring things up for fun. Calling (ever frequently 😂) just to check on you and see how things are going. One of the rarest types of dudes. Forever a brother. All my love to the kids and the rest of the family.
