Dennis attended St. Mary’s College (secondary school) in Trinidad and Midwood High School in Brooklyn, New York. Dennis earned an Associate Degree in Personnel Administration from the Community College of the Air Force and an Electrical Technology Diploma from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
He was a very good swimmer and his love of reading was well known. He also enjoyed photography, cooking and playing/coaching soccer. He enjoyed watching basketball, soccer, and boxing. He was an NBA Spurs fan and was looking forward to the FIFA World Cup.
Dennis worked various jobs while living in New York: house painter, lumber yard attendant, and kitchen worker prior to enlisting in the US Air Force in September 1987. After completing basic training and technical school he was stationed at Onizuka AFB, CA. This is where he married Hazel Pollard, his wife of 36 years.
After he finished his Air Force enlistment, he started a video delivery business, “Wheels Video Delivery.” Dennis worked for the US Air Force Non-Appropriated Funds as a Duty Manager and maintenance mechanic at several military locations. Dennis honed his skills when he worked as an Industrial Mechanic for Angelica Incorporated in San Diego, CA. He worked as a Lead Maintenance Mechanic for Vanderlande Industries and Daifuku Intralogistics America Corporation at the San Antonio International Airport for 13 years prior to his retirement in 2022. He spoke of many cherished memories about friends and my family.
He is survived by his wife Hazel, son Jonah, daughter Sienna; sisters: Joanne and Gillian; brothers: Colin and Heston and a host of additional family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Janet, brother Brian, and sister Dianne.
