Donald Lee McDowell

Donald Lee McDowell, 59, of Cibolo, Texas, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026, following a brief illness. Born on April 7, 1967, on the Clinton Sherman Airforce Base in Oklahoma, he was the son of the late Ray and Donna McDowell.

Donnie was a graduate of Samuel Clemens High School, where he was an active member of the FFA and had a strong interest in welding. He was a familiar face in the community through his work at the car wash. He made numerous acquaintances and friends, with his ability to strike up a conversation with anyone.

Donnie enjoyed hunting, marksmanship, and building his knife collection. He was a man who took great pride in his work and his personal interests.

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Donna McDowell, and his brother, Charles Carney. He is survived by his brother, Doug Carney and sister-in-law Joely; his niece, Marlee Carney; and his nephews, Dalton and Dillon Carney.

In accordance with Donnie’s wishes, no formal services will be held. The family appreciates your continued love and support during this time.
