Doris Ann (Guess) Chandler

Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Doris Ann Chandler (Guess) – went to be with our Heavenly Father at the age of 85 the afternoon of September 1, 2013. Doris was born October 6, 1928, in Dupo, IL to Damas and Helen Guess. She lived most of her younger years in Dupo, IL where she met her soul mate James J. Chandler and married for 64 years. Being a mother and grandmother brought her joy and contentment. She will always be loved and remembered by her family and friends whose lives she touched with tremendous spirit. Doris was preceded in death by her husband James J. Chandler, and is survived by son, James Michael Chandler; daughters Janet Marie del Rosario and husband Brando; Mary Ann Kneupper and husband Kevin; Grandchildren, Alex and Veronica Lopez, Julia Kathleen Bruns, Jeremiah Kneupper, James Michael and Marissa Chandler, Jr., Kevin and Kali Kneupper; and Great Grandchildren, Aiden Alexander Lopez, Tyler Lance Bruns, Bradley Michael Chandler, Addison Bell Chandler and Kaitlyn Delaney Kneupper. Public visitation will be on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Rd, Universal City, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Colonial Funeral Home, followed by interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
