

Born on December 9, 1938, in San Antonio, Texas, he was the beloved son of Angela Huron Galvan and William Galvan.
Edward graduated from Tech High School in San Antonio.
On June 21, 1958, he wed his devoted wife, Guadalupe Galvan, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Shortly after marrying, he proudly served his country by joining the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
Edward and Guadalupe moved to Alhambra, California, where they raised their family and spent over 40 vibrant years.
A lifelong believer in education, Edward earned his degree from Cal State Los Angeles. He went on to share his passion for knowledge and sports as a high school history teacher and football coach.
Later in life, he transitioned to a career with General Motors, from which he eventually retired.An avid sportsman, Edward loved playing and teaching golf.
He also found great joy in attending horse races, a favorite pastime he enjoyed in both California and Texas.
He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 68 years, Guadalupe Galvan; his four children, Edward Galvan Jr., Donna K. Galvan, Debra D. Galvan, and Ron R. Galvan; as well as many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend and share memories.
