Edward, “Ed” was a 20 year veteran of the United States Air Force retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1974. He met his beautiful bride of 48 years, Marijke, while stationed in Amersfoort, Holland. As soon as he graduated from High School in 1953 he joined the United States Air Force and later received his Associates Degree in Production Management in May 1977. After retiring as a Master Sergeant in ‘74, Ed began a second career as a material specialist working at Turbine Support, Fredrick Air Conditioning, Global-Forex and then Flanagan Products. He enjoyed playing racquetball and was actively involved in his bowling league. He loved watching sports and was a fan of the San Antonio Spurs and lifetime fan of the Houston Astros, but first and foremost he was a wonderful husband and a loving father. The last few years he volunteered his time at the local library. Ed is survived by his wife, Marijke; his two daughters and their husbands Jennifer and Neal Ellis, Ineke and Adel Abunawass; son Nicholaas and wife Corrina Reed, and his grandchild, James Abunawass.
