

Emily Lawrence “Tiny” Needs, passed away March 29th, 2012 at the age of 77. She was born in Beaufort, North Carolina to Martin and Louise Lawrence. She grew up on a country farm with her family and worked as a mechanic at Cherry Point Marine Corps Station in North Carolina, where she met my father. She had a very strong faith – singing in the church choir and teaching Sunday School with the more experienced ladies at the church. She was a caring and wonderful sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, husband, her daughter Lena and her son Ronald Larry. She is survived by her brothers – Wesley and Tim Lawrence of Virginia, her sister-Jane Martinez of St Charles, MO; her son – Robert Needs of Keller, TX; her daughter-in-laws Melinda and Tracy Needs; grandchildren – “Sami” Paullin, Christina Daniel, Peter Paullin, Alyssa, Michael and Jacob Needs, Taylor and Dylan Needs; great grandchildren – Kynny and Dakota Paullin; and Sami, Colby and Joanne Daniel. Visitation/Viewing will be Wednesday, April 4th from 530p – 730p @ Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City, TX and graveside services Thursday, April 5th @ 130p at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
