Ernest Lamaud Whitfield

Ernest Lamaud Whitfield was born on May 14, 1941 to Edward and Daisy Whitfield. He was the 10th of 13 children. He accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at Temple Church of Christ, St. Louis, MO. He was a devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Universal City, TX. He received his formal education from the St. Louis Public School System, graduating from Soldan High School in 1960. He was united in holy matrimony to Jeanette Davis on February 3, 1962 in St. Louis, MO and of this union four children were born. He was a very hard working man. He served 22 years in the Air Force and 21 years with the United States Post Office. He had a deep appreciation for life and enjoyed the company of relatives and close friends. He enjoyed listening to jazz music, watching football, basketball, and working on his lawn. Ernest departed this life on earth March 8, 2018 at 9:55 pm. He leaves to cherish his memory; wife Jeanette Whitfield, four daughters: Delores Hopkins, Michelle Harrison, Donna Whitfield, and Yolanda Barnes; two sons-in-law: Mose Harrison Jr, and Frank Barnes Jr; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
