Evelyn Dorothy Halsey

Evelyn D. Halsey of Universal City, Texas, loving wife, mother, and grandmother died on Monday December 3, 2012 at the age of 84. Evelyn was born on October 30, 1928 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada to Colin and Caroline Day. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters, and husband, Jack D. Halsey. She is survived by her children, Jacqueline Edwards (Donald), Jill Luce (Jeffery), Julie Schlein (Joseph); grandchildren, Stephanie Edwards, Justin Havenar (Lacy), Joshua Havenar, Jillian Havenar, Christopher Schlein (Kristin), Corey Schlein (Amanda), Collin Schlein, Robert Luce (Claudia), Christine Teach (David); great grandchildren, Jack Daniel Schlein, Taryn Evelyn Havenar, Noah Ryan Schlein, Shelby Caroline Schlein, Kyson Andrew Edwards, and Nevaeh Nycole Nieto. She was the life of the party and loved to dance and retired her dancing shoes after the love of her life, her husband Jack, passed away in December 2000. A visitation will be held on Thursday December 6, 2012 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with a funeral service on Friday December 7 at 1:00 PM at Colonial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
