Ret. MSGT Francisco Rodriguez of Universal City, born in San Antonio, TX on September 17, 1927. Passed away this Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at the age of 86 surrounded by family in his home of 50 years. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Maria M. Rodriguez and is survived by five children: Linda Esquibel of Devine, TX, Frank Rodriguez Jr. of Corpus Christi, TX, Rick Rodriguez of Universal City, TX, Elida Rice of Albuquerque, NM and Jay Rodriguez of Universal City, TX;16 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. His military service began in 1945 with USAAF. He served his nation for 27 years of active duty service in the United States Air Force and completed 16 further years of government service at the Audie L. Murphy V.A. Hospital. He will be remembered as a dedicated friend, father and grandfather, and his love of God, family and country will be his most remembered attribute. A Graveside service will be Friday, October 10, 2014 at 9:30 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
