Fred D. Thompson

My beloved husband, father and friend, Fred D. Thompson, left us on January 6th, 2017 to begin a new journey. Born on April 21st, 1952 in Orange, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Dorothy Thompson, his father-in-law and mother-in-law John and Doris Tucker and sister-in-law Denise Meeks. His is survived by his wife of 44 years Tina Thompson; his daughter Christina and son Michael; sister Marilou Harris; Sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Pat Tracy, Margaret Koch, Lanny and Karen Tucker; nephews Deuce, Chase, Oscar, John and Justin; niece Cathy; granddaughters Mina Kaya and Ariya; great nephew Brennan Vann and his mother Tammy Vann; great niece Ashleigh Tucker and numerous family and friends. Fred was a gardener deluxe, master woodworker, and artist. He retired from the military after serving for 22 years as a nurse. He was a friend and mentor to all he knew. He loved being around children and teaching them about nature. They adored him. He will be deeply missed by all. Visitation will be held Wednesday January 11th, 2017 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm with a celebration of life at 7:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home 625 Kitty Hawk, Universal City, Texas, 78148.
