

Freddie Joe Hindman, age 94, of San Antonio, formerly of, Hewitt and Vernon, Texas passed away on Monday, March 20, 2023. Kathryn Elizabeth Hindman, age 94, of San Antonio, Texas, formerly of Hewitt and Vernon, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
He was born in Electra, Texas on Thursday, June 28, 1928 to Bruce and Della Hindman. She was born in Floydada, Texas on Thursday, October 25, 1928, to H.L and Roma Wilkinson.
Freddie enlisted as a Navy Reservist on January 28, 1953. He transported fuel from various depots in the United States. Freddie and Kathryn were married June 16, 1955, and spent 67 years together. He worked for Texaco in Electra, Texas and had numerous stations throughout Texas before he retired. After retirement, Freddie and his wife, Kathryn Hindman, moved to Hewitt, Texas, where he worked for the school district as a bus driver. He retired again and devoted time to his church and family. Kathryn began working for Southwestern Bell in Vernon, Texas in 1947. When the office closed in Vernon, she transferred to Wichita Falls. She continued working for Southwestern Bell in Abilene and Sweetwater Texas. Upon retirement, they moved back to Vernon, then later moved to Hewitt, and in January 2015, moved to San Antonio Texas to be closer to daughter, Nancy and son in law, Bob, as well as numerous grandchildren.They lived at Waterford, on Thousand Oaks, where they enjoyed their wonderful friends.
Freddie is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Della Hindman, his brother and sister, and his son in law, Bob Stephens. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, H.L. and Roma Wilkinson, her brothers, Tom and Lee Wilkinson, and her son in law, Bob Stephens.
They are survived by their sons and wives, Dave Brashears (Ann Marie), Mark Hindman (Mary), their daughters and husbands, Ann Hollingshead (Gary), Nancy Stephens, their grandchildren and spouses, Kevin Hollingshead (Crystal), Cheryl Blakely (Justin), Teresa Adkins (Roger), Kelly Hollingshead (Melissa), Leeann Ayala (Alex), Jay Stephens, Mike Stephens (Norma), Kim Del Duca (Jason), Matthew Hindman, Haley Meyer (Ryan), their 35 great grandchildren, and their 8 great great grandchildren.
