Gabriel Magaña

Gabriel Magana, 69, of Selma, Texas, passed away surrounded by his loving family on November 3, 2016. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 pm, with a Rosary at 6 pm at Colonial Funeral Home in Universal City on Wednesday November 9th. A mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Selma at 2 pm on Thursday November 10th.

Gabriel was born on March 24,1947 in El Sauz, Michoacán, Mexico to Benito Magana Olivera and Hermelinda Landin Galindo. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Maria, his father Benito, and his siblings Antonia, Ana, Clotilde, Eva, Cayetano and Rafael, as well as his children Miguel, Benito, Gabriela, Ricardo and Lucinda, and his twelve grandchildren.

Throughout his life, Gabriel inspired family and friends with his passion and optimism. He was a tireless worker who maintained a smile and a word of encouragement in all circumstances. These qualities, combined with unyielding courage and strength, enabled Gabriel to create a better world for his family, which will be remembered for all of time. Gabriel will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
