Gari Lynn Stewart

Gari worked for many years for Wattstopper-LeGrand as inside sales support. She made some great friends while she was there. Their comradery helped them become like a "family."

She had a great love for all animals, especially horses & dogs. She loved to be outdoors with Dad whether it was hunting, fishing, horseback riding, yard work, or just enjoying coffee on the back porch by the pond. She was also a wonderful cook & she definitely had a green thumb when it came to plants.

She had a great love for her family. She loved to laugh. Both she & Dad could be quite the pranksters at times. She & Dad had a wonderful & very loving marriage of 59 years as of July 1st. They don't make them like that anymore!

Gari is preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ivan Wayne Stewart. He unfortunately passed in December 2024.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Kelli Alexandra Stewart, & her son, Darin McClain Stewart, as well as her sister, Donna Allen, & her family, & her brother, Dennis Faucher, & his family.

Special thanks to Assenette, Kathy, Natalia, Rocio, & the rest of the staff at Hill Country Home Care & Kristin, Kristine, & Ruth from Trinity Hospice for taking such good care of Mom & my brother & I during her time with them. We truly appreciate them.

In lieu of flowers, sympathy expressions may be made by donation to any animal rescue of your choosing in her name. That would truly honor her.

A Committal Service will be held from 1:45pm-2:05pm June 30, 2026, at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78209.
