George James Albrecht, Sr., died on Monday, September 22, 2014 at the age of 84 years. George was born on September 7, 1930 to William & Anna Vratanina-Albrecht in Chicago, Illinois. George served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army. He is preceded in death by his parents; Wife, Bernice A. Albrecht; Son, George J. “Herky” Albrecht Jr. N.P., U.S. Navy Retired; Brother, William J. Albrecht, USAF; Survived by his Sons, William J. Albrecht II, and Roger J. Albrecht; Seven grandchildren and three step grandchildren, and five great grandchildren and one on the way. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting to make a donation to the American Cancer Society or M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas.
