Gerald Arthur Hoffman Sr.

Gerald Arthur Hoffman, Sr., of Universal City, passed away on Monday, July 11, 2022 at the young age of 62. He was born in Houston, Texas on May 31, 1960 to Arthur & Eleanora Hoffman. He was married to Patricia Hoffman for 15 loving years.

Gerald grew up in Houston, and he relocated to San Antonio in 1990 to start his career in entertainment as the proud owner of Gerald’s Casino Parties. He was an absolutely cherished member of the community and would donate all of his free time to countless organizations and fundraisers. Gerald had a heart of gold that was as big as his personality. He never met a stranger and he loved to entertain everyone he met. He had many passions in his life, including fishing, golfing, eating crawfish and enjoying a good cigar. Of course, Gerald also liked to gamble, Craps being his game of choice. He swore the winning side would be the dark side and he would win! Some of his most treasured times were spent at the coast with his wife watching the ships sail by, spending time with his grandchildren, and playing with his Boston terriers.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur Adolph Hoffman, Jr.

He is survived by wife Patricia Hoffman; sons Gerald Hoffman, Jr. (Ashley) and Dustin Hoffman (Sarah); daughters Brandy Dorrough and Bernadette Jackson (Keith); grandchildren Carlton Cole Jackson, Gerald Arthur Hoffman, III, and Caroline Marie Jackson; fur babies Elvis and Priscilla; mother Eleanora Hoffman; sister Donna O’Connor (Joe); brother Mark Hoffman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held for Gerald on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., Pedrotti's Ranch, 13715 FM 1560 N., Helotes, Texas 78023. A reception will follow the service.
