Gordon, our prayer is that you, along with our dear, greatly missed sister Diana, are in the Heavens, wrapped in the love and warmth of our Lord and Savior.  While gone from this mortal Earth, NEVER FORGOTTEN.  Miss you much and Love you both eternally.

I’m just now learning of your Dad’s passing.  My deepest condolences.  I remember visiting you guys in Comfort. Those trips were always such great adventures for me and my brother (David Ray)! Feeding the goats, chasing the chickens, and watching the pigs ... great memories! I remember when Larry shot a snake, my brother thought that was the coolest thing ever! Lol! Your Mom and my Mom (Rose Chambless), were longtime friends, having met in school. Those two together were so much fun! Your Dad was a sweet, sweet man. I treasure my memories of your family. Love to you. ❤️

Knowing Gordon over 56 years covers a whole lot of ground...and memories.  Met him even before he and Diana married!  From that time forward to their time in apartment, the house on Lynwood and on Cambray, the places in Comfort and back to San Antonio, what memories!  Though I left San Antonio in '64 and never lived there again, I knew on my visits back to SA, there was always a 'home' for me at their place. For that I remain eternally grateful.  Through thick and thin, there was never a time I felt distanced from Gordon and Diana and now they are both gone and I feel this emptiness, this sadness in my heart that I feel a piece of me is also gone.
  
On the other hand, I sense Gordon and Diana are together again, waltzing around heaven and feeling no pain!  
And so my prayer is that you Liz, Karina, Katie, family and friends find peace, strength and consolation from our faith and belief in His promise of life everlasting.  May God who gives hope, fill your family with joy and peace that by trusting in Him, that you may one day see our beloved, Gordon and Diana, once again.

 

So many wonderful memories with you grandpa. When we were young I remember the hikes you took us on, the trips we took and the food you cooked for me, so many things. You were such a wonderful person and your going to be missed dearly. I wasn’t expecting this and I have to say this has been so hard for me. I love you so much may you Rest In Peace with our Beloved Lord. ❤️

My memories together in our lifetime are few but everlasting. May you forever REST IN COMFORT AND PEACE.
