

Harold dedicated his career to the Army and was highly decorated, serving in both the Korean War and Vietnam War. When he had free time, he enjoyed being outdoors and fishing.
Harold is preceded in death by his mother and father, Grace and Elmore Rimmer; brothers, Cecil, William, and Perry; sisters Irene Bates and Margaret Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 72 wonderful years, Juanita Rimmer; son, Tim Rimmer; daughters, Cheri Lightfoot and Toni Rimmer; sister, Evelyn Bandy; grandchildren, Therese Johnson, Melanie Pak, Jennifer Myers, and Shannon Lightfoot; great grandchildren, Clayton Mase, Connor Mase, Cameron Mase, Abrey Cordova, and Jonathon Cordova; and great-great grandchildren, Hayden Mase and Zaelyn Mase.
The Rimmer family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at BAMC and Methodist Hospital Northeast.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made by a donation to the Army Historical Museum in Washington D.C.
A memorial service for Harold will be held at 11:30am Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, TX 78148. Following the memorial service will be a committal service with Military Honors from 1:15 PM to 1:35 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209.
