Helen Louise Goetschius

of Newell, Iowa died March 28, 2011 in Live Oak.

Helen Louise Williams was born February 25, 1925 in Watertown,

South Dakota the daughter of George W. and Helen A. (Dahlstrom)

Williams. Growing up, she attended school through the eighth grade.

On December 28, 1944, Helen was united in marriage to Glenn (Bill)

Goetschius. Together, they were blessed with two chil-

dren, Allan and Dawn.

Helen enjoyed being a homemaker and raising her two children.

She also worked as a sales clerk at a grocery store for many years.

Helen loved and treasured her family and will be deeply missed by

all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Allan

(Diane) Goetschius of San Antonio, Texas; Dawn (Stan) Nordel of

Prescott Valley, Arizona; seven grandchildren; sixteen great grand-

children; sisters, Georgia Sears of Sioux Falls, South Dakota;

brother, Harlan Williams of Watertown, South Dakota; many nieces

and nephews; extended family and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen;

husband, Glenn; brothers: Howard, Harry, John, Richard, and Roy

Williams; and sister, Vyonne Dunn.
