

Henry (Clay) Trotter passed away restfully in his sleep Saturday morning, November 25th. Born in Monticello, AR on February 1930. He was a veteran of the US Navy and US Air Force. Clay retired from Civil Service as a computer programmer for the US Air Force in 1984.
As his boys grew up, Henry was known as the driving force in building Universal City’s first Little League baseball park. In retirement, he continued to work at various jobs including Hertz Rental Car. Free time was usually spent working on cars and traveling. He also became a licensed irrigator and enjoyed helping people with their sprinkler systems.
Henry ran reunions for the Badoeng Strait aircraft carrier for 30 years where he enjoyed reminiscing about the Korean War with fellow naval buddies.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Eula Trotter; Sons Robert and Morris; and grandchildren Garrett, Daniel, Caleb, Blakely, and Addison, also sister Ida and brother Welton. He was preceded in death by grandson Hayden Trotter, brothers Frankie and Russell, and sisters Cleo and May.
Visitation will be in Universal City, TX at Colonial Funeral Home 6 – 8 pm on Wednesday, 11/29, with a visitation, funeral and interment in Beebe, AR on Saturday at the Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home starting at 1:00 PM. www.westbrookfuneralhome.com/
