Ildefonzo Rodriguez Jr.

November 20, 1963 - October 29, 2023

On October 29, 2023, our beloved brother Poncho, was called to be with the Lord at the age of 59. Poncho was born in Laredo, Texas. After moving to San Antonio, he graduated from Judson High School. He started his career with Kinetic Concepts, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas. He was later transferred to Dallas, Texas. Shortly thereafter, he was recruited by Hill Rom Company Inc., as a Medical Service Technician. 'The Bed Doctor', as he was lovingly named, delivered and repaired specialty medical beds to hospitals from North to South Texas. He was successful and received many awards as “Employee of the Month”. He was known for improving processes and improvising bed designs.

Our brother was a free spirit who lived life to the fullest. He was funny and loved to tell stories of his wild and crazy adventures. He loved his family and friends and had a heart of gold. Poncho was a giver and willing to help anybody. He was known to barbecue and offer strangers his steak, brisket, or beef ribs. He often took “to go” plates for his friends after a family barbecue. He was loyal and would gladly give the shirt off his back to anyone in need.

We don’t know how we are going to “let go” of our “Bubba” (family name). We are going to miss our talks, your beautiful smile, your delicious BBQs, and your giving spirit, but most of all YOU!

Preceded in death by parents Mr. Ildefonzo Rodriguez and Mrs. Gloria Campos Rodriguez
