MSgt. J.C. Wooten, USAF (Retired), age 85, passed into God’s hands on August 30, 2019 at Resolute Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather (Papa), great grandfather, uncle and friend. He was born September 10, 1933 in Russellville, Alabama to Joe Robert Wooten (father) and Cora Lee Pilgrim Wooten (mother). He had two older and one younger sister.
J.C. is preceded in death by his loving wife, Tomie, and his parents, Joe and Cora. He is survived by his four children: Carolyn Giddens, Judy Wooten, John Wooten, and Joanne Whitright; seven grandchildren: Jessica Chamberlain, (Michael) Jason Giddens, Jake Rogers, Jennifer Sartor, Emily Morris, Aaron Whitright and Dallas Whitright; six great grandchildren: Makayla Chamberlain, Joshua Giddens, Andrew Chamberlain, Gabriel Giddens, Gavyn Morris and Talula Giddens; older sister, (Lucy) Dean Creadeur, and younger sister, (Dorothy) Gayle Vyskosil.
J.C. took his last breath on August 30, 2019 surrounded by his friends and family. He will be greatly missed.
