James Lee “Jim” Kinard, born November 10, 1929 and died June 29, 2015. Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife of almost 60 years, Beatrice Olivares Kinard. He is survived by his four children, Belinda Rankin and husband Jerry, Charles Kinard, Dina Cothran and husband Tom and June Kinard . He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Jim served in the military from July 10, 1946 until he was honorably discharged on August 31, 1966. He then worked for Civil Service and USAA prior to his full retirement. He was a computer programmer\analyst and while on active duty was a member of the Air Force Bowling Team. He adored his wife, and leaves a legacy of selfless generosity, steadfast support and unending love. Jim, Dad, Grandpa, Papa Jim will be missed by all. Visitation is on July 7, 2015 from 6 to 8 pm at Colonial Funeral Home. The funeral Mass is at St Monica’s Catholic Church on July 8, 2015 at 11:30 am and funeral at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery at 1:30 pm
